I’m new to the pool scene. I have an above-ground pool and this test kit. It’s been working well for me. It tells me when I need to add shock or any chemical and how much I need to add based on my pool size. To all the people that say that the app doesn’t work, the app works perfectly for me, and I have an iPhone 14 Promax with the latest iOS

Worthless

Can’t read the water sample without instructions. None are included. DON’T buy it!

Do not buy…can’t use product. Can’t use the app says phone is to new, needs a older phone. Then either put a color chart in the box kit or update your app.

I can’t use the app because it is made for an older version of Android than what I have. Otherwise, it is easy to use.

Prefer the test strips

I found it annoying trying to get the water to a certain level. It gives me the reading but doesn’t tell me what to do to adjust the levels like the test strips.

The Clorox 3 Way test is easy to use but I feel like I don’t get accurate results. I like the test strips better and feel like I get better results.

Happy to Make the Leap from Test Strips

In the past I always gravitated to test strips to check my pool levels, well I missing out. Yes the test strips are convenient, but the 3 Way Test Kit feels more professional and certainly more accurate . Quick results, very easy to use, and the one kit just might last me all summer.

Reliable Results

This kit is used to test pH and Chlorine levels in the pool and the results are as reliable as the ones that i get from the pool store. This means that i don’t have to wait until i go to the store before adjusting pH and adding chlorine.

The best test kit for chlorine and pH, ever.

Test kits I’ve used previously (I estimate at least 10) require personal interpretation of the shades of color for the test water versus the shades of color of the kit. Not the Clorox 3 Way test Kit – you just add the chemicals to the water and hold the kit up to the light. I’ve always been able to determine (at a glance) the correct level of my pool water with this kit. I wish Clorox would make a 6 way test kit for all pool chemicals that work exactly as this one.

Clear Testing

Simple testing and easy to use. Prefer the Clorox test strips but this shows more detail when needed.

Love the easy read test kit. Wish it did alkalinity. Also wished it showed the levels both chemicals should be…like maybe with dots beside the numbers or little lines. I did find it very easy to use.

Easy to use test kit

I used to use the strips, but I found the results could be inconsistent depending on the age of the strips and where they were stored. So I started using this 3-way test kit with the drops instead. It seems much more accurate, and the results are easier to interpret than the strips. In just a few seconds, you can get the results you’re after, and the color indicates what you need to with just a glance.

Great product. It did take me a few try’s to get it right but once I did… it’s way easy!!!! Love it!! Switching over from strips to this from now on. I feel it gives a more acurate reading.

No instructions

First, there are no instructions on the package. I loaded the app and that requires you to add an account with a bunch of personal info just to use the product and get partial instructions. That’s ridiculous! Even once app is loaded, there are no instructions for the Total Chlorine. This process has been frustrating and cumbersome, I’ll take my old 30 year pool kit with simple written instructions anyday. Also I first tried to find instructions online, but all they had was video talking about the app. Ugh. Never again.

This testing kit is almost useless. You can’t distinguish between the levels of chlorine. All the shades of yellow look the same.
